Small Groups for Everyone

Alger Park is a church OF small groups.  At least that's what we want to be or hope to be.  The question is, what is a small group?  What constitutes a small group?

Some people like to define it as any time you get people together to do something like card making, softball or a Bible study.  While that may be valid, it is a loose definition for sure.  For all intensive purpose, Alger has adopted the following as a definition for small groups:

"A small group is made up of 8-12 people and are intentional face to face gatherings meeting regularly together to accomplish an agreed upon Christian Purpose."  

That Christian purpose supports the overall mission of the church to Gather, Grow, and Glorify. (for more on this mission see the statement on the "About Us" page of our website).
